Holmes was a former owner who recounts her daily life in 1870's
Mason which includes the HooDoo Wars, public hangings and Indians.
She and her husband were weekend farmers in nearby Streeter and
enjoyed a very active social life in the community. A book about
her with diary excerpts is available at local booksellers.
